Hi! I'm Denzil, A Software Engineer based in Brisbane, Australia

About me

I'm a software engineer with a passion of understanding data and using it to build solutions. I'm incredibly passionate about what I do and love coming up with creative solutions that solve a problem.

Outside of work, I'm an incredibly adventurous human. I have over 475 skydives and have my scuba diving license as well. Apart from this, I spend my free time playing music, cooking and playing with AI.

Something I believe in
In an era where everyone can build whatever they dream off, what's really holding you back?

Australia's leading Fuel Tax Credit automation platform. Its Prism product runs forensic analysis of GPS and telematics data from 20+ providers to classify every segment of driving and idling as on-road or off-road.

  • Delivered an agentic chat with tool calling that lets users query Fuel Tax Credit reports in natural language, cutting customer support queries by 20% and surfacing issues users had never raised.
  • Built the Prism CORE module, processing 10M+ GPS points daily with Pandas, GeoPandas and NumPy to clean, normalise and validate data and calculate GPS apportionment.
  • Led the Road User Charging Trial for the Dept. of Infrastructure & Transport, putting 1,000+ heavy vehicles into a government report that informed national RUC policy and earned a contract extension.
  • Reduced a critical query from 8 minutes to under 30 seconds, a 16x gain, by consolidating a split-table schema and introducing PostgreSQL partitioning.
  • Built a real-time GPS data service using async Python, WebSockets, SOAP, S3, EventBus and DynamoDB, simplifying access to 30+ telematics providers.
  • Scoped and shipped automated emissions reporting calculated from GPS data; now a product solving compliance for 300 businesses.
  • Set technical direction for the team's AI initiatives and mentored two engineers through code review and pairing.

Dec 2025 to Mar 2026 · Brisbane

An independent platform that triages, advises on and manages whistleblower and workplace misconduct reports.

  • Sole engineer on a greenfield LLM-powered triage platform, owning product, architecture, infrastructure, frontend, backend and deployment.
  • Partnered with three non-technical founders to turn deep whistleblower industry knowledge into a technical roadmap and a defined MVP scope.
  • Built a RAG pipeline pairing LLM inference with a pgvector knowledge base, with guardrails explicitly preventing inaccurate or legal advice.
  • Added a PII anonymisation layer using Presidio to strip identifying information from user input before processing.
  • Architected a serverless event-driven backend on AWS using FastAPI, Lambda, SQS and PostgreSQL, with the frontend in Next.js.
  • MVP gathered feedback from over 100 commercial vendors and underpinned sales agreements against the next milestone.
